About Us

South Georgia Anodizing is a new division, founded in 2019, of Elixir Extrusions, LLC. Elixir has become a well-known family owned business in Douglas Georgia over the past 40 years.

Our state-of-the-art, 110,000 square-foot facility has the capability to anodize parts up to 32 feet.

This enables us to do any type of aluminum anodizing project, big or small. We offer our services to extruders and fabricators nationwide.

We complete the anodizing and coloring of your aluminum and aluminum alloys in two separate steps to provide excellent quality for your product. It starts with placing your metal in an electrolytic solution of sulfuric acid and water. Your metal is charged with an electric current to clean the impurities and form a layer of aluminum oxide on its surface.

Then, we color your anodized aluminum to your preference if you choose not to have the standard clear or silver finish. When placed in the coloring tank, inorganic metals such as tin, cobalt, or nickel cling to the anodized metal through another electric current. The time it takes to finish your metal depends on what color you’re trying to achieve.

At South Georgia Anodizing, we complete your aluminum with a two-step process to ensure quality and to guarantee your satisfaction.
